Today West, Tomorrow East

Packed and ready!
As I checked off the last item in my very thorough, very long checklist tonight, I took a moment to simply reflect on my anxious excitement towards something I've been looking forward to for months now.

I recalled back to early January when I was submitting my essays to the Ivy League Connection in order to be considered for this program. Back then, the prospect of being able to travel and reach new horizons in the East Coast was simply a comforting, seemingly miniscule possibility.

Now here I was, after hours of stressful packing, ready to get on a plane tomorrow morning headed to North Carolina then Providence, Rhode Island. I had submitted the essays, I had gone through the interview, I had filled out the paperwork, I had completed Brown's online surveys -- I had made it to this point.

Tonight, as I send off this post to be published, I will hardly be able to sleep thanks to the thought that in less than 12 hours from now, I will be saying goodbye to the West Coast -- on a plane headed for the East Coast.
