Today I woke up at 3:00. It was the day we've all been anticipating; we were finally leaving to Brown! We met at El Cerrito High School and prepared for our trip.
Don weighed our luggage and notified us as to what was expected of us. We listened attentively as we attempted to ignore the frigidness that morning. Don took a group picture and soon after the airport shuttle arrived.
After a few exhausting flights, the Brown cohort and I had finally arrived at Brown. I was immediately awestruck at the sight of the brick buildings and the distinct atmosphere. I loved it right away.

Everyone I met was amiable. I felt so welcomed and joyful. Every single person I met had a smile on their face which made me smile as well.
My chaperone and my cohort decided to check in and we all agreed that we wanted to eat before settling in our dorms. We were ready to go when Ms. Neal told us that she couldn't find the car keys. We all searched frantically, but it was useless-the keys were nowhere to be found. So we had to walk.
I hung out with Diana as we complained about our aching feet. All the girls were sweaty and upset because mosquitoes were flying around everywhere.
We arrived at an Indian restaurant and I ordered Mint and Mango chicken with coconut rice. It was savory. Gabby, Mahi, Erin, and I sat together and discussed the trip so far. The waiters and the chef made pleasant conversation with us as well. They were very likable.
I haven't even made my bed yet and I should be sleeping at this moment. So goodnight everyone. Providence has been fascinating so far.

I’m very glad, Wendy, that you’re able to be a part of this adventure.
