The Final Countdown

We are approaching the finale of our stay at Brown University. We are just 48 hours from leaving this precious campus. All I can hear is The Final Countdown playing in the background of my everyday activities. I feel like I'm in a movie!

Today like most days we had breakfast together then headed to class. We technically didn't have class at all today. The first half was spent doing a  scavenger hunt which was really fun. The class was divided into five groups. I was with Tyler, Lesly, Natasha, and Utana. We ran out as soon as they gave us the paper with the things we needed to find. This proved to be problematic. We were running around a lot aimlessly. In the end we did most of the things in the list and came back to class to finish some of them. It was definitely fun.

At lunch we went to the V-dub and ate out side the SciLi and  in the building our class is in. There we chilled and made small chitchat. We were all exhausted from running during the scavenger hunt. There was a tour in the building. There was a lot of new people that I'm guessing are going to attend a pre-college program. I am very happy for them.

During the second half of class we had  Trans awareness workshop. We learner about pronouns and how to ask for them. The also touched up on how feminism is not inclusive on trans people. This is very unfair.

after we came to the dorms and took a quick nap. Mahi and I headed towards the memorial Ann Mary Brown. We want to see the inside of the memorial but unfortunately it was closed. After we went to the John Hay Library in search for the books bound in human skin. Yes you read it right! Human Skin! They didn't let us see them sadly because they get worn out. I''ll definitely would have loved to touch them.

We went to Thayer to kill time until it was time to meet with Ms. Neal. We went to a few stores and Mahi got shoes. We also met a very interesting man named Jose. He is from Spain and has backpacked all through Asia.

Later we met with Ms. Neal and talked about checking out and heading out to Boston. Then parted and went to more stores then checked out what was on in the cinema. We actually ended up watching the Amy Winehouse movie. I really liked it.

And with this, the final countdown goes on.
